Sikkim Urban/Rural Population - Census 2011

As per the Census 2011 out of total population of Sikkim, 25.15% people lived in urban regions while 74.85% in rural areas. The total figure of population of urban population was 153,578 out of which 80,273 were males while remaining 73,305 were females. In rural areas of Sikkim, male population was 242,797 while female population was 214,202.

The average sex ratio in urban regions of Sikkim was 913 females per 1000 males. Also the Child (0-6 age) sex ration of urban areas in Sikkim was 934 girls per 1000 boys.
