Punjab Urban/Rural Population - Census 2011

As per the Census 2011 out of total population of Punjab, 37.48% people lived in urban regions while 62.52% in rural areas. The total figure of population of urban population was 10,399,146 out of which 5,545,989 were males while remaining 4,853,157 were females. In rural areas of Punjab, male population was 9,093,476 while female population was 8,250,716.

The average sex ratio in urban regions of Punjab was 875 females per 1000 males. Also the Child (0-6 age) sex ration of urban areas in Punjab was 852 girls per 1000 boys.
